ANTON SHALIN
Shalin was born in 1980 in Samara, a city renowned for being a noteworthy intellectual and academic focal point in Russia.
He began studying ballet at 7 years of age in the Choreography Studio of Samara’s renowned Opera and Ballet Theatre. Here, he excelled as a student and immediately established his future in dance.
After finishing his studies, he was invited to be a soloist at Samara’s Opera and Ballet Theatre.
Shalin is a perfectionist who combines his work in the theatre with his acting studies in the prestigious dramatic arts institution of the State Institute of Theatrical Art.
Restless and passionate about art, he specializes in pedagogy and teaching choreography.
Some of his favourite roles include Von Rothbart “Swan Lake”, Don José “Carmen Suite” and the Sultan Shakhriar “Scheherazade”.
He is currently a soloist with GRAND BALLET RUSSE and an instructor at their prestigious school in Moscow. Shalin is proud to belong to a united family where all of the members are professional ballet dancers.
